will be shutting down Monday, October 29, 2018.

It's with great sadness that I announce that Syracuse Bands will be shutting down at the end of this month. It's been awesome building and managing this site since 2005. Through the years I've been proud to host this site for all local musicians and helping to promote them. However, over the last handful of years, there have been fewer users on the site, and more bands are joining other platforms with a larger audience. These, along with a few other reasons, I've decided to close down the site.

Thank you all for using the site and being a part of Syracuse Bands.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out -

Syracuse Bands - Ledyard

Fans of Metal and Hard Rock alike have found new heroes in Ledyard. Hailing from New York, Ledyard brings a new sound to an anticipating music scene. This group of brothers and madmen are here to set a precedent for bands to come. The members of Ledyard are five intensely focused individuals with one goal, to rock without compromise. Banded together by Syracuse guitar legend Slider, formally of Brand New Sin and Godbelow, this maelstrom of rock is a force to be reckoned with. Drawing from such influential bands as Black Sabbath, Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity and Queens of the Stone Age, Ledyard brings a new brand of rock to the table with their eclectic mix of southern rock, blues and metal, resulting in a truly unique blend of music.Slider’s precision guitar work is responsible for the band's savage rhythms, while lead guitarist Chris Pallatto brings his unique style to fill out Ledyard’s devastating guitar sound. “If you’re not playing from the heart, then you’re not playing” proclaims lead guitarist Chris Pallatto. Johnny Palmer’s hard-hitting drums and Baker’s pulse-pounding bass lay the foundation for lead singer James Lyons’ thunderous vocal style, which shatter the boundaries established by traditional hard rock front men.Ledyard’s mindset is not that of your typical hard rock band. The band's members have continually refused to surrender their musical integrity or be shackled to the mainstream definition of modern rock. Ledyard is on the scene and have set out on a musical path to lay waste to all those who stand in their way, crushing riff after crushing riff… -Marc Storrs
