Northbound Traveling Minstrel Jug Band

Formed in 2009 at Syracuse University, NTMJB is a quartet that combines acoustic bluegrass and folk elements with jam-based roots tunes to develop a unique take on the current revival of Americana music. Their skillful playing and creative songwriting style staggering hand in hand with their laid-back, yet energetic onstage swagger have allowed them to break out into the Syracuse area music scene and the opportunities to play with notable national acts like Barefoot Truth, Girls Guns & Glory, and Toussaint & Buru.
NTMJB will be touring May 20 – June 5, 2010 in support of their upcoming self-titled EP being released through O, Morning Records. The EP consists of 7 original songs, two acoustic, five electric and was recorded almost entirely live, as the band flourishes from live performances and did not want to sacrifice their improvisation or raw energy by individually tracking each instrument separately,
